The Homeless Families Foundation is having their Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 13th at LA Catering (home of our good friends, LifeCare Alliance!). This event will not only serve mothers and families in the community directly, but also help fund more of their efforts in supporting our homeless families in central Ohio! Volunteers are needed to serve our guests and help with the kids arts and crafts table, assisting with the kids books, hosting the reception desk, and more!
The event is also in need of a professional photographer to take portraits of our guests and their families, so let us know if you, or someone you know, might be interested and available!
When: Sunday, May 13, 2018, 10:15AM – 1:30PM
Event Leader: firstname.lastname@example.org
Where: LA Catering, 670 Harmon Ave. Columbus, OH 43223.
What to Wear: Volunteers are asked to dress comfortably (especially shoes) but avoid athletic wear, shorts, gardening clothes etc.
#Socialtwist: We will have dinner/drinks somewhere to celebrate our volunteering!
About Homeless Families Foundation: The Homeless Families Foundation provides housing assistance and educational services for homeless families living in Columbus. Stabilizing and empowering families, as well as providing quality education to at-risk and impoverished youth, is crucial in breaking the cycle of homelessness.
About #CbusGivesBack: Columbus Gives Back coordinates group volunteer events with local non-profits, organizes philanthropic happy hours to raise support and awareness for our non-profit partners, and participates in other philanthropic events while emphasizing our social twist: to have fun with volunteers new and old during and after events in the hopes of creating a culture of community engagement amongst our target audience of young professionals.
Cancellation Policy: Due to the nature of our events, an accurate headcount is important. Please contact one of the event coordinators if you have RSVP’ed but are unable to attend this event.
