What is Columbus Gives Back?
Columbus Gives Back is a brand new group of fun professionals who want to give back to the community and meet new people through fun and social volunteer opportunities! We focus on small (5-20 people) events so that we can participate in events that are more difficult for a larger group to do. After each event, we go out for food or drinks to get to know our fellow volunteers and celebrate our hard work.

Columbus Gives Back is designed to complement existing organizations (we’re members of them, too!) so that together, we can make an even greater impact on our community.

Who usually participates?

Most of our volunteers are in their 20s and 30s, but Columbus Gives Back is open to any adults.

What kind of commitment is involved?

None! Just RSVP for the event you want to attend, show up, and have fun! We all have a lot going on, so just sign up for the events that fit your schedule and interests.

How do I join?
Simply go to our calendar and send an e-mail to the RSVP address listed by the event you wish to attend. Can’t attend an event but want to hear about future events? Sign up for our monthly newsletter.

Columbus has a lot of organizations. Why should I join yours?

A lot of us are members of the other service, professional, and social organizations, too! Columbus Gives Back is intended to complement these existing groups by providing small (typically 5-20 people) volunteer opportunities to fit anyone’s schedule.

What do volunteers do at Columbus Gives Back events?

We really do a variety of things at our events. We may prepare and serve dinner at a shelter, work with children at local agencies, or provide administrative assistance to non-profit organizations. We try to provide a variety of opportunties to fit everyone’s interests.

I would like to be more involved. What can I do?

Any and all help is tremendously appreciated! You can be an event leader and coordinate a volunteer opportunity. We have a “wish list” of activities that we need individuals to lead.
We would also love for members to organize social events, promote and advertise Columbus Gives Back, and eventually help us become a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Send an e-mail to info@columbusgivesback.org with your ideas or suggestions and we will fully utilize your assistance!
