What do you know about the refugee population in Columbus. Have you ever met someone who was forced to flee their home country? Have you ever wondered how to help the new American population in Columbus in a sensitive, non-overbearing manner?
Community Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS for short) helps new Americans (including Refugees) in a variety of ways; Jeremy Hollon, CRIS’ Director of Community Partnerships, will be hosting an interactive discussion around some of the questions you may have concerning the new American population ranging from basic facts and demographics to relevant US policies that affect CRIS’ work to what it may feel like to be in the shoes of someone new to our country.
Columbus Gives Back has a standing charity night with Endeavor Brewing every first Wednesday of each month in which 1$ per beer in donated back to CGB. This month, Columbus Gives Back will be donating all of the proceeds to CRIS to help with their programming in 2019. Please come thirsty and read to support CRIS!
