Columbus Gives Back invites you to join us at the brand new Mid-Ohio Market at Columbus State! We are looking for dedicated volunteers to check-in shoppers into the food market using a computer program, manage the line and intake process, answer basic questions, and begin customers in an outstandingly positive customer experience.
What: Duties include:
- Greeting customers as they arrive at the pantry and assisting them with intake process.
- Check photo ID and proof of residency documents.
- Update or enter family information into our pantry management software.
- Assist families in completing the required paper work.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Where: 400 Grove Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215
When: Wednesday, February 5th 5:45pm – 8:15pm

What to Wear: Attire should be something casual, comfortable and that can get dirty. For safety purposes, we cannot allow volunteers to wear open toed shoes, sandals, or loose jewelry/clothing.
About the Mid-Ohio Market: The Mid-Ohio Market at Columbus State offers free fresh produce and other available items to all income-eligible customers. This includes Columbus State students as well as community members and employees. Most items are provided by the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
About Columbus Gives Back: We love Columbus, young professionals, and getting involved! Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month.
Personal Belongings: Personal belongings or anything of value should be left at home. Do not leave such items in your car. The Mid-Ohio Foodbank is not responsible for anything lost or stolen.
#SocialTwist: Volunteers will be provided dinner at the event, but we will also encourage volunteers to join us afterwards for food and drinks to better get to know the other cool folks in our group!
