Columbus Gives Back returns to the Franklin Park Conservatory to volunteer in their brand new Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden! Various garden projects which may include: watering, weeding, pruning, cutting back perennials, and detailed plant grooming. Volunteers will be on their feet and moving around for the time that they’re here, bending, squatting, and kneeling too. There are restrooms and water fountains on site.

Attire: Attire should be something casual, comfortable and that can get dirty, layers are recommended. Please no sandals/open toed shoes. Volunteers will be in full sun, so hats, sunscreen recommended.
About the Children’s Garden: This new 2-acre garden is the largest horticulture project ever undertaken by the Conservatory. Featuring numerous unique, interactive experiences celebrating the Ohio landscape, The Children’s Garden will focus on introducing and connecting children to the natural world, as well as renewing that connection for their parents and caregivers.
The Children’s Garden will support the Conservatory’s outreach and education mission, promoting active learning for all ages, with emphasis on health and the natural sciences.
