Columbus Gives Back invites you to join us for our first ever event with Fry Out Cancer, giving cancer the bird since 2014!
On Wednesday, November 27th, we will help fry turkeys to raise money for The James. Of the 155 turkeys that will be fried, approximately 72 will be donated to community meals that feed families in need around Columbus.
Since 2014, this event has raised more than $53,000 for The James and donated a couple hundred turkeys to help feed families in need.
Where: Columbus State Mitchell Hall – 250 Cleveland Ave. Columbus, OH 43215
Event Leader: email@example.com
About the Fry Out Cancer: Fry Out Cancer is an opportunity to support The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James). Supporters place their order for a fully prepared fried turkey and select a time to pick it up on Thanksgiving Day at Columbus State Community College.
In 2019, all proceeds will continue to benefit the Pediatric Brain Cancer Research Fund and the Ovarian Cancer Research and Education Fund in Gynecology at OSUCCC – James. Donors are also encouraged to sponsor a turkey that will go to a family in need. In 2019, Fry Out Cancer will provide turkeys to Thanksgiving meals at iResolve Family Fitness, the YWCA Family Center, Community Shelter Board, Harmony Project, New Albany Food Pantry, Hilltop Community Worship Center, Catholic Social Services, and Faith Mission.
