Clean water matters. The city of Dublin and Columbus Gives Back invite members of the community to join us for the The Annual Mike Utt Scioto River Clean Up on Saturday, August 18 at Scioto Park. This includes a brief educational session on water quality impact, followed by a volunteer project of cleaning out the great Scioto River at five different access points in Dublin.
When: Saturday, August 18th from 9:00am – 12:00pm
Event Leaders: Richard@columbusgivesback.org and David@columbusgivesback.org
Where: We will all meet at Scioto Park and get assigned another access point. 7377 Riverside Dr. Powell, OH 43065
Preregistration: Pre-Registration is required. All inquiries need to go HERE. It gives Dublin a sense of how many will be attending and how many access points to split out. Further, they need contact information for that morning in case of lightning/high winds which would force a cancellation.
What to Wear: Please wear no open-toed shoes.
What to Bring: We encourage folks to bring their own refillable water bottles. We provide coffee and bagels during the meet/greet and education session.
After the Event: For our #socialtwist, we will have dinner/drinks somewhere to celebrate our volunteering!
Cancellation Policy: Due to the nature of our events, an accurate headcount is important. Please contact one of the event coordinators if you have RSVP’ed but are unable to attend this event.
About #CbusGivesBack: Columbus Gives Back coordinates group volunteer events with local non-profits, organizes philanthropic happy hours to raise support and awareness for our non-profit partners, and participates in other philanthropic events while emphasizing our social twist: to have fun with volunteers new and old during and after events in the hopes of creating a culture of community engagement amongst our target audience of young professionals.
