Join Columbus Gives Back, ECRN+, and the Metro Parks for their 3rd Annual Outdoor Inclusive Adventures. They will have adaptive canoeing/kayaking, fishing, creeking, games, climbing wall, a visit from Stockhands Horses for Healing, food and more.
This is a tremendously rewarding experience that allows us to provide a fun and supportive environment for kids with developmental disabilities and their families!
Where: Darby Bend Lakes at Prairie Oaks Metro Park. 2755 Amity Road, Hilliard, OH 43026.
*Please note, our meetup point is NOT in the main park. Google Maps or your GPS may take you just down the road from the entrance to our meetup. Look for balloons at Darby Bend Lakes entrance on Amity road.
When: Sunday, September 9th, 11am – 3pm

What: We will be setting up and tearing down activity stations as well as helping with food, leading arts and crafts projects, leading fishing and yard activities, and painting faces!
Additional information: All volunteers are encouraged to wear yellow shirts and comfortable shoes! Most of the area is located in the sun. We recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, etc. Restrooms are available but do not have running water. Please bring any extra water you may need. Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes ideal for the weather. If Kayaking and Canoeing or Creeking, please wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. In addition, a change of clothes and a towel. Also in addition, this is outdoors in Ohio, please be mindful to bring/wear bug spray and do tick checks.
