Columbus Gives Back invites you to join us for the Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon at 92.3 WCOL. We will be filling five phone lines to raise support for St. Jude’s mission of fighting childhood cancer.
We ask that all volunteers feel comfortable using a computer and telephone in addition to delivering excellent customer service. Volunteers will be responsible for taking donor pledges (Partners in Hope) which is a monthly donation on a credit or debit card. All volunteers will be fed during their shift and will receive a “This Shirt Saves Lives” tee shirt!
Where: 92.3 WCOL, 2323 W. Fifth Ave. Columbus, OH 43204
When: Thursday, December 5th, 5pm – 7pm
Event Leaders: firstname.lastname@example.org
About St. Jude: St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists in Columbus and worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80%. We won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
About Columbus Gives Back: We love Columbus, young professionals, and getting involved! Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month.
#SocialTwist: After the event, we encourage you to join us for food or drinks and have fun with other cool volunteers like you!
Cancellation Policy: Due to the nature of our events, an accurate headcount is important. Please contact one of the event coordinators if you have RSVP’ed but are unable to attend this event.
